Wild Explorers
Caregiver & Child Nature Enrichment (Ages 2–8)
Nature-based exploration for children and caregivers, together
Wild Explorers is a nature-based, mixed-age enrichment class where children and caregivers explore and play side by side in an outdoor setting. Learning happens in nature, with awareness of the natural world intentionally woven into play, connection, and whole-child development rather than taught as a primary subject. Families gather once a week for shared experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and relationship.

Activities and invitations are thoughtfully designed for children ages 2–8, while younger and older siblings are welcome to attend and participate at their own comfort level.

Each class follows a gentle rhythm rather than a rigid plan. Some days we might make stone soup or build fairy houses; other days we may spend time balancing on logs, digging in the mud, or pretending to be forest creatures. Educators thoughtfully guide the experience by offering invitations, modeling curiosity, and supporting social and emotional growth, while allowing children’s interests to lead the way.

Caregivers are an essential part of Wild Explorers, actively participating alongside their children. This class is designed as a shared experience where adults and children explore, wonder, and connect together—creating space for joy, imagination, and meaningful play.

At Wild Nook, we believe learning grows through relationship—with the natural world, with one another, and within ourselves.

Rooted in Christian faith, Wild Nook is guided by values of kindness, gratitude, stewardship, and love. In Wild Explorers, faith is woven gently into our time together through stories, reflection, and shared moments of wonder, while remaining grounded in relationship, curiosity, and respect for each family’s experience.
Our Explorers Program
Wild Explorers is intentionally designed as a slower, relational space where children of different ages learn alongside one another and caregivers are active participants rather than observers.

Each gathering includes time for free play, guided invitations, seasonal rhythms, and shared moments of connection. Experiences are open-ended and adaptable, allowing toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary children to engage at their own developmental level.

Caregivers support their own child while also building community with other families.
