Program Policies & Terms of Service

Welcome to Wild Nook! We’re so glad you’re here. Below you'll find our key policies designed to keep our program safe, respectful, and running smoothly for everyone. By registering your child, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agree to the following terms.

Participation & Expectations

We believe in creating a safe, playful, and respectful space for all children. To help us do that, we ask families to:

  • Ensure children arrive on time, dressed for the weather and ready to explore.

  • Keep children home if they are unwell (see illness policy below).

  • Support kind, safe behavior—children who struggle to safely participate may need a break or early pickup.

  • Respect the rhythms and boundaries of the group and staff.

  • At Wild Nook, we encourage a deep respect for the natural world. Children are guided to treat plants, animals, and outdoor spaces with care—leaving things as we found them, observing gently, and practicing kindness toward all living things.

Payment & Tuition Policy

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.

  • A one-time, non-refundable registration fee is due at sign-up to secure your child’s spot.

  • Deposits are non-refundable, unless the class is canceled by Wild Nook.

  • If you need to withdraw before the session starts, partial refunds may be available depending on notice and if your spot can be filled.

  • After the session has begun, tuition is non-refundable, except in cases of extended illness or emergency.

Late Payment Policy

  • A $20 late fee will apply if payment is not received by the 5th of the month.

  • If payment is not received by the 10th, enrollment may be paused until payment is made.

Refunds & Withdrawals

  • Registration fees are non-refundable.

  • Tuition is non-refundable once the month begins.

  • If a family withdraws mid-month, no refund will be given for that month.

  • A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from the program.

Weather & Missed Days

  • Wild Nook runs rain or shine—outdoor learning is at the heart of our program!

  • Please send your child with appropriate weather gear each day.

  • There are no refunds or makeup days for absences due to illness, vacations, or typical weather.

  • In the case of severe weather or emergency closures, we’ll communicate promptly and may offer alternative meetups or home activity suggestions.

Illness Policy

To keep our community healthy, please keep your child home if they have:

  • Fever within the past 24 hours

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Contagious rash or illness (e.g., flu, COVID-19, pink eye)

We do our best to offer make-up days if multiple weather or illness-related absences occur, but these are not guaranteed.

Photo Policy

During class, we often take photos to capture special moments. By default, your child’s image may be used in Wild Nook’s materials such as newsletters, social media, or future promotions.

If you’d prefer not to have your child included in public-facing images, you can opt out on the registration form. We will make every effort to keep your child’s face out of public images.

Liability & Emergency Medical Consent

By enrolling your child, you acknowledge the risks inherent in outdoor play and release Wild Nook, its staff, and volunteers from liability related to injury or accidents that may occur during program hours.

You also give permission for Wild Nook staff to provide basic first aid and to seek emergency medical treatment if necessary. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact you first.
