Wild Nook Preschool

Wild Sprouts (3s) & Wild Buds (4s)

Nature-based, outdoor learning for children ages 3–5

Wild Nook Preschool is a nature-based, play-driven program for children ages 3–5. Our days are calm, relational, and primarily outdoors, where children explore, imagine, and build confidence at their own pace. Faith-informed values like kindness, gratitude, and care for creation are woven gently into daily life, while our primary focus remains on social-emotional growth, curiosity, and connection.

Whether making stone soup, going on a bear hike, making mud pies, or engaging in open-ended exploration, children will develop confidence, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. These experiences also support executive function skills like problem-solving, adaptability, collaboration, and self-regulation—essential foundations for future learning and growth.

Is Wild Nook a Good Fit?

Wild Nook Preschool may be a good fit if your family values:

  • Play-based, child-led learning

  • Regular outdoor exploration in varied weather

  • Social and emotional development

  • A calm, nurturing, part-time program

Wild Nook may not be the best fit for families seeking full-day childcare, traditional academic instruction, a secular-based curriculum, or a primarily indoor classroom setting.

Enrollment Expectations

  • Children must meet the age requirement by September 1, 2026

  • Preschoolers should be fully potty-trained

  • Families should be comfortable with regular outdoor learning in most weather conditions

  • Space is limited to maintain a low child-to-teacher ratio
